  The Fourth Sunday in Lent
Don't forget to turn your clocks forward one hour before you go to bed on Saturday.

Don't want to be LATE for church on Sunday!

Dear members of St John's,

For several months we have heard about the discernment process to determine our Next Faithful Steps as a congregation. We are happy to say the Discovery journey has begun! The vestry began work discerning purpose at their retreat, Discovery Team co-chairs have been named, and committees are forming. It feels like an exciting time to be part of St John's! Over the last two weeks, I’ve noticed new conversations starting, ideas flowing, and fond memories being shared. There's a renewed excitement for the future in the air. If you haven't felt a spark of inspiration yet, I believe you will soon.

There is a place for everyone on this Discovery journey. Join in and participate by coming to a meeting, praying for guidance, jotting down your ideas, or starting a conversation. Trust me you'll find renewal in the process. A chance for renewed connection with each other. A new avenue of relationship with God. A fresh look at the potential in our community.

The Parish Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 13 at 7pm will provide an opportunity to learn more. We will:

·   Hear updates on our current ministries

·   Share more about the Discovery Process and how you can be a part of the team

·   Contribute ideas toward the SJP purpose statement

·   Begin to identify core values and guiding principles

·   Learn why vision is so important moving forward

As we begin this journey together, let’s keep the prayers, ideas and conversations flowing. Ultimately the success in this process is not just what we put on paper, but the connections we make along the way between ourselves, and with God.

I look forward to traveling with you all, as we seek to discover our Next Faithful Step.

Yours in Christ,
Jayne Watson & Bill Brave
Discovery Team Co-Chairs
