The Baptism of Our Lord
  (The First Sunday After Epiphany)
Thank You Jayne!

Jayne Watson has served as our Interim Director of Family Ministry this last year. As of the end of 2017 she fulfilled that commitment and we want to say thank you!

Please plan to join us during coffee hour on Sunday, January 14 after the 10am worship as we celebrate and say thank you to Jayne.

As a member of St. John’s, Jayne plans to continue as an active volunteer in this area of our congregation’s ministry. Meanwhile, we will be getting organized in such a way as to divide responsibilities so that “many hands make light work.”  Youth and family ministry is sure to be an area of priority moving forward in transition. In the works for the short term are plans for “Families at the Rail,” a workshop for families on Holy Communion, and a resurrection of “Catechesis of the Good Shepherd” as our Sunday School curriculum beginning in the fall of 2018.

Jayne has been able to improve communication and coordination of these ministries, which has been a huge help to busy families. Her positive spirit and enthusiasm for faith formation continues to bless us as we move forward in transition at St. John’s.

For pastoral care issues that may arise, please call Pastor Dana Runestad, Interim Rector at 734-765-1141 .
